106% rise in fleet uptake of electric vehicles in 2015

Fleet registrations in 2015 were 106% up on the previous year, according to industry body Go Ultra Low.
In 2015, 28,188 new ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs) arrived on UK roads. Within that national tally, combined fleet and business plug-in registrations totalled 18,250. c
Go Ultra Low, backed by government and the motor industry, also reported that ULEV registrations for 2015 eclipsed the combined total of 21,486 plug-in vehicles sold between 2010 and 2014.
30 pure electric or plug-in hybrid cars are now available in the UK.
Transport Minister Andrew Jones MP said: "The UK has one of the fastest growing ultra-low emission vehicle markets in the world and these record figures show more and more people across the country are enjoying the benefits of this cheap-to-run and green technology.
